DESCRIPTION:Learn stage combat skills and then see them onstage at TNB’s Heroine. \nTrain with Heroine fight director Jean-Michel Cliche in this introduction to theatrical sword fighting for beginners! Learn the basic moves of single sword technique\, including parries\, attacks and footwork\, before stringing them together into a short piece of choreography! This workshop is open to all levels and ages. No theatre experience required! \nOnstage @ Imperial Theatre \nJean-Michel Cliche\n\nJean-Michel (he/him) is a theatre artist of Lebanese and French-settler descent living on the banks of Wolastoq (Fredericton\, NB). He has trained with Fight Director’s Canada and is New Brunswick’s premier Fight Director/Violence Designer. Recent credits include Hamlet (Loyalist City Shakespeare)\, O’Brien (TNB) and Misery (Saint John Theatre Co). He is the Associate Artistic Director of Solo Chicken Productions\, a theatre company focused on creating work that is challenging and delightful.
