SUMMARY:National Walk for Safe Places
DESCRIPTION:Teams from across Saint John will be coming together on May 12 for a local activation of a national initiative focused on building safer\, more supportive communities. \nThe Western Communities Foundation (the non-profit arm of Western Financial Group) is hosting its National Walk for Safe Places\, starting from the Western Financial Group office on Fairville Boulevard and bringing together employees for a short community walk alongside local partners. \nThis local event will see participation from Hospice Saint John\, with members of their team joining the walk—highlighting the connection between community care\, safe spaces and local support systems. Participants will walk a short route through the neighbourhood before returning to the office for light refreshments\, photos and a small community gathering. \nThe walk is part of a coast-to-coast initiative supporting safer communities and is paired this year with a new Emergency Support Fund to help charities respond to urgent needs. \nEvent details:\nDate/Time: May 12\, 9:30am\nLocation: Western Financial Group\, 843 Fairville Blvd\, Saint John (walk route begins and ends here) \n\n\n\n  \n  \nPlease consider making a donation to support the compassionate care provided at Bobby’s Hospice. Every contribution helps ensure patients receive comfort\, dignity\, and support during end-of-life care. \nTo donate\, please visit: https://hospicesj.ca/
