The fall shoulder tourism season is getting underway in the province with many families going apple-picking, making their way through corn mazes or visiting craft fairs and harvest festivals.
Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) president and CEO Ron Drisdelle believes residents are also rediscovering major attractions such as provincial parks and zoos.
“We may have gone once or twice in our lifetime as New Brunswickers but have we gone back? Are we seeing everything that it has to offer and what it has improved?” he notes.
Drisdelle says staycations have been gaining in popularity in recent years as residents come to realize they offer a less hectic pace and give you a chance to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
