It’s been three weeks since Saint John Sea Dogs equipment manager David “DK” Kelly learned of new tumours and began the fight of his life.
Kelly has impressed many with his great attitude towards facing 20 radiation treatments with what at first was a grim prognosis.

DK says the one you don’t want to use on the radio is #fcancer, but adds the “F” stands for faith, family and friends.
He says that is what pushes him through adding he thinks a positive mindset makes a huge difference.
In addition to great local support from his own family and the Sea Dogs, Kelly has received support and gifts from the LA Kings, the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Lightning just to name a few.
