Federal Dollars For Community Loan Fund

An economic development agency in Saint John is getting support from the federal government.

The Saint John Community Loan Fund will receive just over $103,000 in non-repayable loans from Ottawa.

Just over $57,000 will be used to help the organization convert its Enterprising Women program to an online format in response to the pandemic.

The remaining $46,000 will be used to deliver energy auditor training to women in Greater Saint John through Next Inc.

The money is part of more than $5.8 million announced for nine Atlantic Canadian organizations that offer business and advisory services to women.
