Federal HelpTo Spruce Up Camp Glenburn

More than $240 thousand dollars from the Feds will help spruce up Camp Glenburn on the Belleisle River.

Shilo Boucher of the Y tells us the work is already underway and needed when you consider Camp Glenburn will be 90 years old next year.

She tells us she they knew they needed to make investment in Camp Glenburn and by improving the facilities they are extending what they can offer to famillies and kids.

The work includes new windows, doors and washroom facilities and installing a dock.

More than 700 kids will spend time at Camp Glenburn this summer and it all starts next week.

The larger fundraising campaign to improve Camp Glenburn sits at 60 per cent of it’s 2.1 million dollar goal and all of the work will be complete by 2018.
