A clash in the Legislature over the Strategic Program Review and privatisation of services in the Transportation Department.
Conservative M-L-A Jeff Carr of New Maryland-Sunbury accusing provincial Finance Minister Roger Melanson of doubletalk when he asked about how much money will actually be saved and was not satisfied with the answers he was getting.
Melanson says he’s confused about where the provincial Conservatives stand on the issue of privatisation. Carr says he has no problem with privatisation of government services but wanted actual numbers on how much money was being saved.
Carr also questions whether spending over half a million dollars on the Strategic Program Review, which he calls a charade, was worth it.
