A blaze broke out late last night in a meat store that’s located in a strip mall at 126 Hampton Road.
We’re told by KV Fire a meat smoker caught fire at the rear of the building and was in flames after igniting grease from the meat that was smoking.
Initially, it appeared as if the whole building was on fire because there was so much smoke but damage was contained to the rear area of the store where the meat smoker is.
City Police are investigating after two Purolator courier vans were set on fire at its depot on Hathaway Crescent. The two vans were extensively damaged.
Police also arrested 3 young people for damaging the now closed Fundy Line Motel along Rothesay Avenue near McAllister Drive.
