The fire station in Havelock has been damaged by fire.
Firefighters from Petitcodiac, Elgin, and Penobsquis were called in to help shortly before the noon hour.
The blaze was brought under control early this afternoon.
Officials say a rescue truck has been destroyed along with other firefighting equipment.
The Havelock fire station is relatively new and just opened in 2014.
