Fire destroys garage in Bloomfield

Fire has destroyed a garage in the community of Bloomfield, just outside of Hampton.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Route 121 around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Hampton Fire Rescue said the garage was engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.

“While the garage was a total loss no other buildings were damaged and there were no injuries,” the department said in a social media post.

Fire crews from the Nauwigewauk, Kennebecasis Valley, Long Reach, Peninsula, Belleisle Valley, and Norton fire departments also responded to the call.

No word yet on what may have sparked the blaze.
