Fire Destroys Home In St. George

A fire in St. George has left two people homeless.

St. George Fire Chief Shawn Morton says the home is completely destroyed after a fire early this morning.

Morton says fire crews from St. Andrews, Blacks Harbour, Fundy Bay and Bonny River helped battle the flames.

He says eight fire engines were on the scene.

Morton says the cause was electrical from a scentsy burner that melts hot wax.

Morton encourages people who do use a scentsy burner to always use it with caution and to not leave it unattended.
