Fire Destroys Home In Western N.B.

A family of four had to jump from a second-floor window to escape their burning home in western New Brunswick.

The blaze broke out in the community of Beechwood, north of Florenceville-Bristol, early Sunday.

The couple and their two young children escaped unharmed but their farmhouse was destroyed.

Officials with the Canadian Red Cross say the family is staying with nearby relatives for now.
