No one was injured after a fire at a homeless encampment Thursday morning.
Fire crews responded to a call on Garden Street in the city’s uptown.
A makeshift structure was destroyed, but a statement from the City of Saint John said no was in the encampment at the time of the fire.
Two trucks and a platoon chief responded to the call.
The encampment is located inside one of the new Red Zones implemented recently under the city’s Housing for All strategy.
