A fire at an east Saint John apartment building has forced a couple in their 80s from their home.
Emergency crews were called to the eight-storey building on Ellerdale Street late Wednesday evening.
The Canadian Red Cross says the fire was contained to one apartment on the top floor of the building.
The organization has arranged emergency lodging and meals for the couple while they await a damage appraisal.
