Firefighters from Calais and St Stephen were called Wednesday evening to Main Street in Calais to extinguish a fire that once housed a former pharmacy store.
The fire call came in shortly before 8:30pm Canadian Time.
While the blaze reported was brought under control within about an hour, fire crews remained on the scene till around 10 pm checking into reports of smoke in nearby buildings.
