Firefighters battle 2 blazes in Quispamsis

No injuries have been reported after a pair of fires broke out in Quispamsis.

The first blaze broke out in a detached garage on Squire Drive around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department, a neighbour called in the fire.

“The fire was contained to a detached garage and the nearby home was not damaged,” the department said in a social media post.

Just over an hour later, crews responded to a report of a house fire on Quispamsis Road.

A fire in the kitchen was quickly contained, said the department, limiting damage to the rest of the home

“There were no injuries at either incident and both have been investigated,” said the post.
