Quick work by firefighters to battle a blaze on Route 850 allowed a structure to be saved.
Crews were called to the structure fire in Kingston at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Peninsula fire crews got mutual aid from Long Reach with a blaze in the attic.
No one was injured, according to the Long Reach Fire Department.
A post on Facebook said a large turnout of volunteers allowed all the firefighters to rest and hydrate on a very hot day.
