Fires Displace 10 In Springhill and Truro

Fires on Friday displacing 10 people in Truro and Springhill.

Disaster volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross assisted a couple and four children -the kids range in age from 11 months to 15.
They helped the family find somewhere to stay and buying food, clothing other items after a mid-afternoon blaze damaged a house on Pleasant Street.

In Springhill, a woman and her three teenaged sons are staying with relatives for now after their house was laced by a fire reported around 2 p.m. at on the Herrett Road. They’re staying with relatives for now and Red Cross volunteers are helping them get some clothes.
