First Responders Dealing With A Chlorine Leak At The Aquatic Centre

The Saint John Fire department and other first responders on the scene of a chlorine leak at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.

Everyone inside has been evacuated as a precaution and the Hazmat unit has been brought in.

The tank involved has been removed from the building due to a leak from its stem according to The Centre Operations Manager Mark Curran.

The plan is to try and cap the tank.

Traffic is blocked on St. Patrick street between the bottom of King Street and Union Street.
