First Time Since 2015, Loonie Hits 80 Cents U.S

Something we haven’t seen financially since 2015, the Canadian loonie hit 80 cents US earlier today.

This is a result of a weaker U.S currency.

In June, many speculated the Bank of Canada would raise its interest rates, that’s when the loonie began to climb.

The central bank confirmed the hike on July 12, with its first interest rate increase since 2010.
