Fisheries Ministers Discuss COVID-19 Impacts

The fisheries ministers of the four Atlantic provinces have agreed to collaborate to assist the seafood industry while they deal with impacts from COVID-19.

The ministers met this week and have committed to holding regular conference calls until concerns over the virus subside.

Their plan is to also meet with the federal governments and get their support.

Fishing and aquaculture industries provide billions of dollars and thousands of jobs to the four provinces.
