Five Arrested In West Side Raid

Five people have been arrested after Saint John police raided a home on the city’s west side on Thursday.

Police say they seized more than 16 grams of crack cocaine, more than 28 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of methamphetamine, 22 tablets of Clonazepam and 12 tablets of Zopaclone.

According to a news release from police, the drugs had a combined street value of more than $6,400.

Officers also seized more than $5,000 Canadian, digital scales, pipes and other drug paraphernalia.

Three men and two women are facing charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Police did not say where the raid took place or provide any other details about those arrested. They said the investigation is continuing.
