Heritage awards have been presented to property owners and trades people who have made significant contributions to the conservation of the city’s heritage buildings over the past year.
Chair of the Heritage Board Bob Boyce says the awards recognize excellence in heritage conservation.
Boyce says the city’s heritage buildings are a legacy from the past and amoungst the finest cultural assets in Saint John, and in the country.
He says heritage properties represent a period of time in the architectural and cultural history of our country that’s worthy of preservation.
The award winners include properties on Douglas Avenue, Princess and Wentworth Streets, and two properties on Prince William Street.
