It might be a good idea to get a flu shot because Health Canada is warning the flu strain this year could be nasty. The warning is based on what happened with flu in Australia where winter just ended.
Even though it has been warmer than usual for this time of the year, Lori Leblanc, a pharmacist at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Quispamsis, says now is a good time to be vaccinated.
Leblanc warns the levels will be five times stronger than in previous flu seasons. Our flu season lasts for six months from the end of October and beginning of November.
