To show support for the province’s Love Shouldn’t Hurt campaign, the word LOVE has been written across the windows of Fredericton’s police headquarters.
All this month, the word LOVE will also be visible crossing south on the Westmorland Street Bridge.
The campaign also features the Twitter hashtag #LSH or ‘love shouldn’t hurt’.
The statement is a reminder that love should be a happy thing and shouldn’t cause physical or emotional pain.
The Love Shouldn’t Hurt campaign launched last fall and aims to get provincial communities to discuss and act on the issue of intimate partner violence.
