Get ready to pay more for groceries.
Canada’s Food Price report for 2020 is forecasting a two to four per cent increase in prices for next year. For the average family, that will mean almost $500 dollars more over 2019.
The report is released jointly each year by Dalhousie University and the University of Guelph.

Some of the reasons behind the increase include climate change, and single use plastic packaging.
Foods that are expected to rise the most include meat, seafood, vegetables and fruit.
