Former Alberta premier and Conservative heavyweight Jim Prentice has died.
Multiple tweets confirm Prentice was one of four who perished in a small plane crash in a heavlily wooded area of B.C.
Prentice was 60-years-old.
He was the Premier of Alberta for a short period of time between 2014-2015.
Prentice is also well known for his work in federal politics, with a long history in Ottawa.
