Former Chair Of Police Commission Warns Common Council

The former Chair of the Saint John Police Commission is worried Common Council sees City Police as being a big fat department ripe for budget cutting.

Jonathon Franklin says he got blowback by suggesting such is not the case.

He warns if the police budget is cut, the consequences could be dire with the city being less safe and community policing initiatives put at risk.

Franklin recently resigned from the Police Commission out of frustration he tells us.
