Saying he didn’t know what to expect after announcing his switch from the Conservatives to run for the NDP in Hampton, Bev Harrison says the response in the riding has been good.
Harrison tells CHSJ News the formulation of Conservative party policy was not inclusive enough for his liking and whatever he said in caucus was ignored.
Harrison goes on to say the Conservatives he has spoken to are dissatisfied with their own party and he doesn’t think they can get re-elected.
As for the charge that he left the Conservatives because he wanted an uncontested nomination in Hampton, Harrison dismissed that as “silly”.
