Four Charges Laid After Attempted Break And Enter

A 33-year-old man has been charged with four offences after an attempted break and enter in Scoudouc.

Shediac RCMP says they received a report of a suspicious person attempting to break into semi-trailers outside a Parker Road business on October 19, around 8:15 p.m.

When officers arrived, the individual tried to flee the scene in a vehicle but struck a police cruiser with its emergency lights activated. A news release states nobody was injured in the incident.

Police say the driver was under the influence of alcohol and using a vehicle stolen out of Saint John.

On October 20, Christopher James Bradbury appeared in Moncton Provincial Court and was charged with breaching a probation order.

Two days later, additional charges were laid in court for flight from police, driving while prohibited and possession of property obtained by crime.

Bradbury, a resident of Penobsquis, was remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
