Free Overnight Weekend Parking Uptown

Enjoying a night out in uptown Saint John this summer just got a little bit easier.

Free overnight parking is being offered on weekends within the entertainment district.

You can park for free at all metered parking spots and in all city parking lots Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from midnight to 7 a.m.

But you will still have to pay to use the Market Square and Peel Plaza parking garages.

The free parking will be available every weekend until Oct. 31.

Generally speaking, the entertainment district is the area bounded by Water Street and Charlotte Street, from King Street to Duke Street. It includes:

  • King Street from Charlotte Street to Prince William Street;
  • Princess Street from Water Street to Charlotte Street;
  • Duke Street from Water Street to Canterbury Street;
  • Water Street from King Street to Duke Street;
  • Prince William Street from King Street to Duke Street;
  • Canterbury Street from King Street to Duke Street;
  • Germain Street from King Street to Princess Street; and
  • Charlotte Street from King Street to Duke Street.
