You had better get the scraper ready to go to work overnight or tomorrow morning, we have freezing rain coming.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Sarah Carmichael says get ready for slipping and sliding.
“Over southern parts, the freezing rain will start overnight more towards early morning it’s going to change over to rain later in the morning. The mixed precipitation will change to rain in the northern areas early in the afternoon,” stated Carmichael.
Carmichael says for now extended freezing rain is not expected.
“Just a special weather statement to highlight this and bring it to the public we are going to continue to look at this system and there is the possibility we may have to issue warnings later today.”
