Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar will donate his forfeited salary from a two game suspension last month to two Toronto area LGBTQ organizations. Pillar was handed the suspension for yelling an anti-gay slur at Atlanta Braves reliever Jason Motte.
The Saint John Sea Dogs are preparing to host the “Q” League entry draft tomorrow. To mark this occasion and the President Cup win, the Sea Dogs are hosting an autograph session today with Captain Spencer Smallman, Kyle Ward, Matthew Highmore and Joe Veleno from 5:30 to 6:30 in the Market Square atrium. The “Q” League entry draft is free to attend. It gets underway at 10:00 tomorrow morning in Harbour Station. The doors open at 8:30 and you must be in your seat by 9:30.
