Every so often, leadership coaching creates a connection that changes the course of things – for both people involved.
That’s what happened when I first met Pete Stoddart. He was a successful Saint John entrepreneur who was considering selling his position in a successful restaurant group and exploring new business opportunities.
I had the privilege of coaching him during that period, and from the very first conversation, it was clear Pete was ready for a new chapter – one built on purpose and possibility.
Coaching sparked something in him. He began to see how the coaching process could transform leadership, culture and decision-making. Before long, he was studying at Royal Roads University, earning his executive coaching certification and launching his own coaching practice.
Fast forward to 2023, when Pete joined Vision Coaching as a new and talented member of our coaching roster. Less than two years later, he became our Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he’s helped us strengthen our systems, refine how we support our coaches and clients, and lay the foundation for continued growth.
Now, I’m delighted to share that Pete has become co-owner of Vision Coaching. It’s a milestone that reflects how far we’ve come – and the kind of partnership that defines who we are: grounded in trust, complementary strengths and shared values.
For me, this moment isn’t about stepping back; it’s about stepping forward together. Pete brings an operational discipline that pairs beautifully with our collective focus on relationships, growth and vision. Together, we’re ensuring Vision continues to evolve with intention – while staying true to the community that has shaped us.
At Vision Coaching’s 20th anniversary celebration in Halifax this fall, I was reminded of what makes Vision special. The laughter, the stories and the sense of genuine connection around that table captured exactly what we’ve built – a community of people who care deeply about helping others succeed.
