Fuel prices down to start the long weekend

Drivers in New Brunswick are getting a break at the fuel pumps to start the long weekend.

Fuel prices dropped Thursday night following the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

Regular self-serve is now selling for a maximum of $1.38 per litre, a drop of around 3.5 cents.

Diesel fell by two cents and is now selling for a maximum price of $1.45 per litre.

The price of heating oil also dropped by more than two cents to $1.34 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.35 to $1.39 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.38 and $1.43 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.43 per litre, diesel costs around $1.50 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.12 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
