Fuel Prices Drop One Day After Increase

The rollercoaster ride at the fuel pumps continues in New Brunswick.

Increases we saw Wednesday night were virtually wiped away overnight.

The Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) invoked its interrupter clause for the second time this week.

Gasoline prices fell by more than eight cents to a new maximum of $2.03 per litre.

The most you are now paying for diesel is $2.38 per litre, a drop of more than 16 cents.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Heating oil prices also fell by more than 16 cents to a new maximum of $2.17 per litre.

Propane prices remain unchanged at a maximum of $1.28 per litre.

The EUB has used its interrupter clause five times so far this month to change the price of gas, diesel, heating oil, or a combination of the three.
