Full Parole Denied For Patrice Mailloux

A man serving time for the 1987 death of a Moncton teen will be staying behind bars.

The Parole Board of Canada has denied Patrice Mailloux’s request for full parole.

Mailloux was sentenced to life in prison for the death of Laura Ann Davis during a convenience store robbery.

Ron Davis, the victim’s father says he is happy with the decision, but it only offers relief for the next six months when his family will have to do it all over again.

The Parole Board extended Mailloux’s day parole for another six months.

Davis was unable to attend the hearing in Quebec, due to the pandemic.

He says he requested a postponement of the parole hearing, but it was declined.
