The future of the Energy East pipeline is now very much in doubt.
TransCanada Corporation has filed a letter with the National Energy Board seeking a 30 day suspension of the Energy East Pipeline application.
The suspension will allow it time to conduct a careful review of recent changes concerning the list of issues and environmental assessment factors of the project while determining how these changes impact cost, the schedule and viability of the project.
After that review is complete, a decision will be made on whether or not to proceed with the application.
