The Gagetown ferry will return to service on July 1 for the first time in more than four years.
In a statement Monday, the province said the ferry will provide seasonal service 12 hours a day, seven days a week until the fall.
“Our government committed to returning ferry service to the people of Gagetown and today we fulfill that commitment,” said Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bill Oliver in the statement.
“Having this ferry service back in the community will be a huge benefit for the tourism and agricultural sectors in the region.”
The ferry service, which connects Gagetown and Lower Jemseg, was eliminated by the previous Liberal government in February of 2016.
