The provincial government is claiming success in their actions to grow the New Brunswick economy.
A release from the Department of Finance says the provincial economy grew last year at its fastest rate since 2010.
To support their claims, they say average weekly earnings have increased by 2.7% since 2014, which ranks New Brunswick among the top two provinces in terms of growth.
So far in 2016, average weekly earnings for the province are up 2.5% compared to 0.3% across Canada.
As well, retail sales have climbed for 11 of the last 12 quarters, with particularly strong results (9.4%) for the beginning of this year.
Finance Minister Cathy Rogers says there will be an upcoming release of a comprehensive economic growth plan to continue growing the economy and moving the province forward.
