With the next provincial election less than a year away, the Gallant government has unveiled its capital budget for 2018-2019.
Finance minister Cathy Rogers has announced a total of $815-million to be invested in public infrastructure.
New investments are said to total $28-million and $787-million has been set aside for maintenance and for previously announced projects.
The province says $458-million will go towards roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure, $105-million-dollars has been earmarked for schools, $12.6-million for parks trails, historic sites and other tourism infrastructure, and nearly $100-million to health care.
