Gas, Diesel Prices Up Slightly

It is going to cost you a little bit more to fill up your car or truck on Friday.

The maximum price for regular self-serve is up by 1.6 cents to $1.229 per litre.

Most stations in Greater Saint John are selling for a few cents less.

Diesel has increased by 1.5 cents to a new maximum of $1.408 per litre, while furnace oil is also up by 1.5 cents to $1.279.

At this time last year, regular self-serve was going for $1.08 per litre, diesel was selling for $1.276 per litre and furnace oil was at $1.123 per litre.

The weekly price adjustment by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board was made a day later than usual because of the holiday.
