Gas Prices Fall While Diesel Prices Climb

Some New Brunswickers will be spending a bit less to fill up their vehicle’s fuel tank on Thursday.

The new maximum price for regular self-serve in the province is $1.444 per litre.

That is down by 1.5 cents after the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

Diesel prices jumped by four cents overnight to a new maximum price of $1.592.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

This time last year, regular self-serve was selling for a maximum price of $1.065, while the most you were paying for diesel was $1.124.

Meanwhile, the price for furnace oil climbed by 3.8 cents to a new maximum of $1.409 per litre.

Propane is up by just under a cent and is now selling for a maximum of $1.219 per litre.

Fuel prices are reset every Wednesday night in New Brunswick.
