Gas Prices Up, Diesel Prices Down

There is mixed news at the fuel pumps after the weekly setting by the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.

The maximum price for regular self-serve has climbed to $1.508 per litre.

Officials say that is an increase of 0.7 cents after the weekly setting on Wednesday night.

Diesel prices fell by 0.6 cents to a new maximum price of $1.546 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

This time last year, regular self-serve was selling for a maximum of 97.5 cents per litre, while the most you were paying for diesel was $1.034 per litre.

Meanwhile, the maximum price for furnace oil fell by 0.7 cents this week to $1.366. Propane held steady at $1.269 per litre.
