As the clean-up continues from last weekend’s storm, another one is barrelling toward New Brunswick.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the province ahead of the storm.
Forecasters said a prolonged period of heavy snow is expected to begin on Thursday night.
“Current indications suggest that the heaviest snowfall amounts will be over central and southern New Brunswick,” said a statement early Wednesday.
But the weather agency is not saying how much snow could fall just yet, adding that more information will become available as the storm approaches.
Areas along the Fundy coast could also see ice pellets or freezing rain on Friday night.
“Similar storms in the past have caused hazardous driving conditions, travel delays and school closures,” said Environment Canada.
The snow is expected to taper to flurries on Saturday morning, leaving behind another weekend of digging out.
