It could bring as many as 175 jobs to the region, but first, we have to secure funding from federal and provincial agencies to go along with the cash already invested by Saint John Industrial Parks in the Lorneville Barge Terminal Project.
Saint John Industrial Parks GM Brian Irving tells us the $8-million project really makes sense for this area. Irving says the project reflects the area’s historic manufacturing roots, and finds a way to leverage the expertise we already have in the labour force in Saint John.
He says the hope is we’ll be hearing back about the funding from both levels of government in the coming weeks and months.
