Cheers are in order for a Grand Bay-Westfield man who has been named the winner of a nationwide contest by a Scottish brewing company to come up with a beer flavour.
Innis & Gunn has announced that Don Guimond has won the Imagine & Gunn competition. Guimond came up with a black IPA with coconut and rhubarb and his beer will be brewed into reality.
Guimond gets to travel to the Innis & Gunn brewery in Scotland to brew his beer which will have his name on it when it goes on sale in Canada next fall.
“For a craft beer lover, this is unbelievable exciting,” Guimond says in a news release. “Innis & Gunn produces some of the most flavourful beers I’ve ever tried. I’m still wrapping my head around the idea that their next flavour idea is mine.”
There were over a thousand submissions for this contest.
