Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP looking into hit-and-run

RCMP in Grand Bay-Westfield have asked the public for assistance as they investigate a hit-and-run.

According to police, a vehicle struck a cyclist on Nerepis Road near the intersection of Sunnyside Drive on May 21 around 2 p.m.

The cyclist was travelling northbound when the vehicle struck her from behind and fled the scene before police arrived.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries but has since been released.

A release from the RCMP said they have followed several leads in an attempt to find the driver.

Now they have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident, stopped at the scene, or that may have dashcam footage to contact Grand Bay-Westfield RCMP at 506-757-1020.
