Granite Sculptures Coming To Saint John

Rainbow Park in the south end and Market Place on the west side.

That’s where two new granite sculptures will be placed after they’re created during the Sculpture Saint John international symposium later this summer.

The city turned to the public for help earlier this year in deciding where to place the public art.

Officials looked at 11 possible locations and narrowed it down to five, two in the north end, two on the west side, and one in the south end.

More than 125 votes were cast and, in the end, Rainbow Park and Market Place were the winners.

Common Council approved the locations during their most recent meeting.
