The CEO of the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce says the reduction in the small business tax rate is fantastic.
Carol O’Reilly says this welcome news comes after a disappointing federal budget which she says didn’t do enough for small business.
She says this change will make it easier for people to reach their bottom line and be successful.
“If they are paying less taxes, it gives them an opportunity to use that revenue that would have come out in taxes into the business community in the Greater Moncton area,” says O’Reilly.
She adds it will be easier for business owners to reach their bottom line and be successful.
“So at least it’s showing an acknowledgement of the provincial government for how important the small business community is to the success of our province,” says O’Reilly.
She adds it’s great to see the future leaders of our community who have a small business are going to be able to get some help as far as taxation is concerned.
